Research Tuesdays: sharing great research with the community The wrecks are talking: Why road crashes happen and what can be done about it There are many different factors that contribute to a vehicle accident and its impact on victims. What are those factors, and how can we learn from them? For more than 30 years, the University of ÐÂÀ˲ÊƱ's Centre for Automotive Safety Research (CASR) has conducted extensive investigations into crashes on South Australian roads. Through expert analysis of human factors, conditions, vehicles involved, forensics and medical data, consistent causes are emerging and preventative measures are being identified. CASR Director Professor Mary Lydon will reveal exactly what is being done to improve road safety.
