2018 South Australian Science Excellence Award - Winners

On Friday night, the Science Excellence Awards Dinner event was held at the ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± Convention Centre. It was a wonderful event which showcased the inspirational research advancing both South Australia and the world.

The Environment Institute was represented by the following nominees:

Excellence in Research Collaboration

  • The Aboriginal Heritage Project, partnership between the local members of the Aboriginal community, the SA Museum, the University of ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ±, the University of New South Wales - ACAD Australian Centre for Ancient DNA

  • Shellfish Restoration Project, at Windarra Reef, partnership between the University of ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ±, South Australian Government (Department for Environment and Water, PIRSA, The Nature Conservancy, The Australian Government, the Yorke Peninsula Council, The Ian Potter Foundation, and the Australian Research Council - Marine Biology

As there could be only one winner in the Excellence in Research Collaboration category, the Windarra Shellfish Restoration Project were presented with a Finalist Award.
