An $18.3 million federal grant led by the University of Sydney to establish the Australian Centre for Quantum Growth has justbeen announced. The University of Sydney led the successful consortium, which included the University of ˲Ʊ via IPAS, along with most of themajorAustralian research universities and leading commercial quantum companies.
The University of ˲Ʊ team is led by three professors;,Director of theCentre for Quantum Materials & Quantum Technologies.His research focuses on the intersection of condensed matter physics and quantum optics.,arenowned figure inthe field ofquantum sensing,IPAS'Chief Innovator and a successful entrepreneur.,Head of the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, distinguished professor of quantum electronics, making significant contributionsin the field.
