TeraGlo expands collaboration to advance space sensing capability

TeraGlo has confirmed its commitment to advancing sensing in Space by signing on additional work with the University of ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ±â€™s Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS), supported by funding from the Defence Trailblazer’s Advanced Innovation Fund. The project will enable the development of a sovereign platform for Quantum Artificial Intelligence based Material Sensing (QAIMS) based on Novel Fluorescence (NF).

IPAS Showcases Novel Hand-Held Fluorescence Sensor at GRX25

At the University of ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± booth, Professor Spooner and Dr Wilske demonstrated a hand-held fluorescence sensor developed by PELL. This portable detector is the first of its kind to enable real-time, in-field detection of fluorine-bearing minerals. Something previously only possible in the lab.

Hollow Core Fibre fabrication capability demonstration

Hollow-core soft glass fibre for Mid-IR

Northrop Grumman Australia and the University of ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± will explore fabrication of a type of hollow-core fibres specifically optimised for fibre optic gyroscopes (FOGs), a key component of modern navigation systems that can operate in the absence of GPS signals.
