Dawkins key speaker at China investment forum

Former Australian Treasurer and Trade Minister will join key experts from the University of ÐÂÀ˲ÊƱ in a free public forum that explores the controversial issue of China's investment in the Australian resources industry.

The forum - being held at the tonight (5.00pm Wednesday 8 April) - will feature experts in the fields of trade, economics, minerals and energy, government relations and Chinese studies.

Issues to be addressed at the forum include:

• the Australia/China Free Trade Agreement and implications for investment;
  
• what issues concern the public about Chinese investment in Australia;
  
• comparisons with other countries investing in the resources industry;
  
• the Chinese perspective; and
  
• the current state of affairs of the Australian resources industry.
