    A/Prof Tania Crotti is the Postgraduate Coordinator (PGC) Manager and Chair of the PGC committee for the School of Biomedicine (SBM) and member of the SBM Research Committee,  SBM Executive Committee and FHMS Higher Degree Research (HDR) Committee. At the University level, A/Prof Crotti is the Co-Facilitator of the HDR Supervision Community of Practice (CoP) (2021-) and Co-Chair of the Executive Group of the ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± Education Academy (AEA) (2021-). In these roles she actively contributes to the ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± Development Program for Educators and Professionals who Teach (ADEPT) activities and Supervisory training.

    Tania was awarded a BHealthSci (Hons) in 1997 then worked as a research assistant in the Department of Pathology, University of ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± before completing her PhD on “The mechanisms responsible for pathological bone remodeling in inflammatory conditions” in 2002 (funded by a Dora Lush, NHMRC Scolarship).  Tania subsequently worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMS), Boston USA.  Here she was awarded a CJ Martin, NHMRC Fellowship followed by an American Arthritis Foundation Fellowship in the area of Rheumatology and Osteoimmunology.   

    Tania returned to ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± during 2008 to continue her fundamental science research, accepting a research and teaching position with the Anatomy and Pathology Discipline in 2014. Her research continues to explore the impacts of disease, treatment and diet on bone in patients with cancer, peri-implant loosening, periodontal disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Recent projects have extended to understanding the mechanisms of pain as well as using linguistics to explore pain and well being in inflammatory arthritis, pelvic conditions, Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), and the military with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). 

    In the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL), Tania is has published on authentic assessment, well-being and bulding community relating to the undergraduate, postgraduate and research supervisor experience.

    For leadership and mentorship in SoTL A.Prof. Crotti has been acredited as a Senior Fellow in Higher Education Advance (SF HEA, UK 2021). Her contribution to postgraduate education and training has been recognised by the Australian Council of Graduate Research (ACGR) Excellence in Graduate Leadership Award (2023), acceptance into the Asia Pacific Women in Leadership (APWiL) program (2023/24) and most recently the Stephen Cole Excellence Award for Leadership in HDR SUpervision (2024).
