ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± Festival of Ideas

In 2021 we are delighted to be bringing theÌýÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± Festival of Ideas to life, in partnership with Illuminate ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ±.

From Thursday 15 toÌýSunday 18 July,Ìýthe will celebrateÌýthe life of the mind, in support of the public value of ideas, thinking and innovation as foundations of civil society, an informed democracy and a robust economy.

TheÌýfestival offers our community the chance to be engaged, challenged and inspired by the program of speakers and events. Most of the events are free to attend, ensuring the festival is accessible to everyone.

IsobelÌýMarshall, current student and Young Australian of the Year 2021, Professor John Carty, and Kirstie Parker have joined forces asÌýcurators of the 2021 ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± Festival of Ideas. They are standing in front of theÌýWangu Poles, which mark the entrance of the Kaurna Learning Circle (Karra Wirraparinangku) on the University of ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± North Terrace campus.

As part of the ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± Festival of Ideas, our students have launched the Art of the Possible Festival, designed to bring to life the University's creative outputs. This is an open-access, student-led festival that will run from 19 - 23 July 2021. It is presented in partnership with the University's Sia Furler Institute, the Andy Thomas Space Foundation andÌýthe ÐÂÀË²ÊÆ± Festival of Ideas.
