The Friends of the University of ÐÂÀ˲ÊƱ Library network promotes andÌýfosters interest and support for the University Library from alumni and the wider community.

The Friends also increase and broaden knowledge of the collections and services of the library, develop relationships with other libraries and cultural organisations, and assist with fundraising activities.

Membership of this network is available to:

  • University of ÐÂÀ˲ÊƱ Graduates.
  • Current students.
  • Past and present staff members of the University.
  • Anyone who has a common interest in the objectives of the network.

    Barr Smith Library Level 1 entrance

    Library tours

    The Library is delighted to offer tours of our new spaces in 2025. The tour will cover the Barr Smith Library (all floors) including the historic Reading Room. Come and hear about the refurbishments, the work involved in improving spaces and study areas with a focus on the student experience applying universal design principles. It will be an opportunity for FOTL members to see the new spaces and ask questions about how the spaces are used.

    Dates: Thursday 8 May, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and Wednesday 21 May, 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
    Venue: Barr Smith Library, North Terrace campus, The University of ÐÂÀ˲ÊƱ.
