In this one-hour workshop you will learn to use and interpret Turnitin Similarity and Artificial Intelligence Reports for academic integrity and supporting student learning. Bringing together best practice recommendations and insights from recent academic integrity cases, the session will cover:

What is the ideal Turnitin similarity score?
What kinds of text matches are there, and what do they mean?
How reliable is the Turnitin AI Score, and what does it show?
When might a Turnitin Similarity or Artificial Intelligence report raise a suspicion about academic misconduct?
How and why do students use Turnitin to check their work?
How can teachers use Turnitin to support academic skills building?
